All About...Sport

It is imperative that Evie Boo girls have a good, supportive bra when doing any kind of sport.  If your boobs aren’t supported during exercise they can bounce too much causing sagging and the stretching of tendons – only surgery can remedy this!

You will have noticed that Sports bras tend not to be the most glamorous of articles; this is because, in order to do their job properly, they need to provide maximum coverage of the breast.  This is why most supportive sports bras are high cut and full in the cup. 

Steps to finding a good sports bra

• Choose a material that is comfortable and absorbent, Lycra or Coolmax for example.  These materials will allow your skin to breathe.
• The bra should be really smooth, with no edges or bindings that are going to rub against your skin whilst exercising causing irritation.
• Choose a bra that has maximum coverage, i.e. full cup, high cut bra with a wide back and adjustable straps.
• The underband or back strap should be firm enough to stay put when jumping around.  It should not ride up your back. 
• Make sure you try before you buy – jump up and down with the bra on to test it’s effectiveness.
